My Expectations for Technology

My Expectations for this class is for the most part lines up.
I'm disappointed that we will not be doing any photography, however I'm excited for the coding.
Last year, we did way to much digital citizenship and I hope we don't do that this year.
In 6th grade, we didn't have our own computers, and that made technology hard.
Ever since we've gotten Chromebooks,it has made the independent aspect of technology more real.
All in all, I'm excited to start 8th grade technology.

Audio, Visual, Tactile – What does this mean?

10% Audio, 40% Visual, and a whopping 50% Tactile. My only question is what does this mean?
Audio, Visual, and Tactile are all different types of learning.
If you are an audio learner, this means you learn best from listening.
If you are a visual learner, this means you learn best from watching.
If you are a tactile learner, this means you learn best from doing.
I am very tactile, this means I enjoy doing very hands on activities.
When I need to study, the first thing I will do is make flashcards.
This will help me in other classes because I will know to make flashcards.

Technology influencing our life

What is technology? technology is science or knowledge put into practical use to solve problems or invent useful tools. Simply, thechnology is inventing and creating. Imagine a life without modern tools, It would even make the most simple parts of your life difficult. Waking up late because you don’t have an alarm, or running outside and realizing you had to take a horse to school. Thankfully, those harsh realities aren’t a problem anymore with new inventions being created in minutes.

Although technology has its many upsides, it’s downsides may have more impact. Techonolgy is a scary thing and with so many people reiliang on it, we have lost our since of indapendance. According to Website Magazine on ebay, $680 worth of transactions are made every second. It’s strange to think that only 50 years ago there was no such thing as the world wide web. Now, you can’t get away from it.

Stuck at Sea

About 2 years ago, in 2014. My family took a trip to are hometown, Boston, Massachusetts. While we were there, we decided to go on a whale watch in the Boston Harbor. As soon as we boarded the ship, many things went down. We saw maybe 2 whales, Which were existing but at the same time a bit underwhelming. Then, the ” caption” of the ship  had accidently run into a 7 inch rope and we got the engine stuck in it.

What was supposed to be a 2 hour trip turned into more like a 12 hour trip. About 98% of people were throwing up on the side of the boat. While that 2% were yelling at the staff. Not much good came out of that trip. Other then the fact that I was on T.V. Was it worth it ?? No. To this day, I’m deathly afraid of boats.
